In 1968, Adam Turrini opened the best-known delicatessen of the city. Today, the shop is managed by his son Marco, who carries on his father’s work with the same passion and attention to quality, a characteristic which a business like the one on Dante must have. “Adamo” began working as a chef when he was a little more than a boy, working in a famous delicatessen on via Ferrara. First helper, then a key figure in the kitchen, he specialized in local dishes, from rabaton to Piedmont mixed fry, without forgetting agnolotti. Then in 1968, he took the plunge and decided to work for himself, receiving the most important recognition from his customers, followed in 2011 by that of the Municipality through the “Gagliaudo d’oro” award for the illustrious and most deserving people of Alessandria. On via Dante, Marco Turrini manages to make people bathe in that warm atmosphere which seems to be made specifically to enhance flavors and aromas.
