To open a bar in a semi-deserted area and turn it into a historical venue has been a winning bet because Gispy’s opened on 29 October 1975, when the districts were in fashion but in via Galvani, at Europista, that bar seemed the last outpost in an area which would have become residential, but wasn’t yet.
This was Lele Telesca and his mother Giuliana’s bet, who raise the shutters to undertake a business which will be joined by Franco, Lele’s brother, soon after. The idea
is to focus on quality. It is a valid reason for going to that new pub, also from other neighborhoods of the city and from Valenza, where the people appreciate trends and new entries. In
1989, Gipsy’s gets bigger, becoming a meeting point for groups of friends thanks to the outdoor seating area, ideal for summer, but also as reference point for the initiatives it organizes: these are added to the drinks and the morning breakfast.
The golden age is the decade which goes from the Eighties to the Nineties. Today, in the third millennium, it can be said that Gipsy’s has grown with the neighborhood. Naturally, the management team has grown. Since 2000, the parents have been joined by Angelo and Alessandro, sons of Lele and Franco, who have been owners of the business since 2013.
