Stagione Teatrale 2026-2027 al Teatro Municipale di Casale Monferrato

Casale Monferrato | Cultural

From 4 November 2026 to 23 April 2027

Il Teatro Municipale di Casale Monferrato è lieto di annunciare il programma della nuova stagione teatrale 2026/2027.

Description

A particularly rich and varied program will enliven the stage of the Teatro Municipale in Casale Monferrato for the 2026/2027 Season, in collaboration with the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo: eleven subscription shows and a program of non-subscription titles ranging from contemporary drama to great classics and contemporary dance, featuring leading names from the Italian scene.
The new subscription campaign will run from September 18th to October 2nd, while existing titles can be renewed from September 4th to September 18th.
The season opens with a touch of irony, with Maurizio Lastrico, a leading figure in television comedy since his debut on Zelig, returning to the theater on November 4th and 5th (November 5th non-subscription date) with Sul Lastrico, a show that combines theater, stand-up comedy, and personal narrative.
On November 17th and 18th, Lella Costa brings an intense and powerful performance to the stage of a classic ancient comedy, Aristophanes' Lysistrata: a story about women, directed by Serena Sinigaglia, that juxtaposes life and desire with the madness of war, in a tale as timely and provocative as ever. The November 17th performance will feature audio descriptions as part of the Teatro No Limits project.
An unforgettable contemporary play is scheduled for December 15th and 16th: Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, with music by Paul Dessau performed live in a new, contemporary rock arrangement. The protagonist, played by Lunetta Savino, remains a contradictory and profoundly human figure, who continues to question the present even in this new reinterpretation by Leo Muscato.
The program continues on January 12th and 13th with another great work of 20th-century drama, All My Sons by Arthur Miller, the American playwright's first true success. With the lucid and sharp direction of Elio De Capitani—who also performs alongside a large and close-knit cast—the work reveals the fragile humanity of the characters and explores generational conflicts in the post-World War II era.
On January 19th and 20th, Domenico Pinelli, a young actor and director in his first major role behind the scenes, pays homage to one of Eduardo de Filippo's most brilliant plays, Ditegli Sempre di Sì. A fresh and ambitious reinterpretation, it remains faithful to the original text while enriching it with contemporary sensibility. The January 19th performance will be audio-described as part of the Teatro No Limits project.
On the centenary of Dario Fo's birth, Giorgio Gallione will confront the Nobel Prize winner for Literature for the first time, staging Dario Fo and Franca Rame's masterpiece, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, on February 2nd and 3rd. The play focuses on the story of Giuseppe Pinelli and the Piazza Fontana massacre. The protagonist, Lodo Guenzi, former leader of the popular indie group Lo Stato Sociale, now an actor for film and theater, offers a fresh and renewed interpretation of the character with comic rhythms and grotesque and satirical tones, faithful to the great legacy of Fo's theater but with the sensitivity of a contemporary performer.
All the talent and strength of Maria Paiato meets Shakespeare's Richard III on March 2nd and 3rd on the stage of the Teatro Municipale. A project strongly desired by the Venetian actress, now brought to life thanks to her collaboration with director Andrea Chiodi: a shared vision of the text that casts Paiato as King Richard the usurper, the cruel, Machiavellian politician repeatedly targeted by Elizabethan theater, in an interpretation of the male role that aims to deliver a Shakespeare faithful to the original.
From the words of Gino Strada and in collaboration with Emergency, La guerra com’è (The War as It Is) is born, scheduled for March 12th. A civil theater performance in which the voice of Elio Germano and the music of Teho Teardo construct an intense narrative of the experiences that led a young surgeon from Sesto San Giovanni to distant countries devastated by war, combining experiences lived on the front lines with reflections of universal scope.
Tullio Solenghi tackles one of Goldoni's masterpieces, The Two Venetian Twins, adapting it, directing it, and giving an extraordinary double performance, in a tribute to the historic 1963 edition of the Teatro Stabile di Genova. The show runs on April 6th (audio-described by Teatro No Limits) and April 7th, with a new production featuring the invaluable collaboration of Davide Livermore for costumes and sets.
On April 13th, We Speak Dance returns, a regional dance festival conceived by the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo to expand the traditional prose offerings of its theater seasons in a multidisciplinary way. On stage is All'arme, by Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi, in collaboration with the Croatian Studio Contemporary Dance Company: starting from the rhythm of the human step, the choreography explores the power of collective and synchronized movement, drawing inspiration from the language of military choreography.
The subscription program concludes on April 23 with Stefano Fresi and the triple monologue Dioggene, divided into three parts revolving around a single character: three worlds, in three different languages, to tell the story of the same fragile and contradictory humanity.
The Teatro Municipale di Casale Monferrato's calendar is also enriched with a packed non-subscription program: on November 21, 2026, La Bohème, with the B. Bruni Orchestra and the Francesco Tamagno Lyric Choir; on November 27, 2026, Pinocchio - The Circus of Wonders, with text and direction by Jacopo Pelliccia; on December 6, 2026, Brava, bravissima...even less, with Anna Mazzamauro and Paolo Bonanni; on December 12, 2026, Six Characters in Search of an Author, directed by Maurizio Messana; December 16, 2026: Christmas concert: Soliva and friends: the perfect gift, organized by the Carlo Soliva ETS Friends of Music Association; December 31, 2026: New Year's Eve concert: Music Hall, with the soloists of the Corrado Abbati Company; January 6, 2027: The Duchess of Chicago, with the ballet corps and orchestra of the Elena D'Angelo Company; March 20, 2027: Crime in the Castle, directed and adapted by Jacopo Pelliccia.
