Con la primavera arriva anche la voglia di vivere il risveglio della natura. La Val Bormida è il luogo perfetto da esplorare con calma per coglierne tutta la bellezza. Il fiume Bormida attraversa Liguria e Piemonte e per un tratto è parallelo alla ferrovia Alessandria – Savona. Il fiume è caratteristica identitaria del territorio così come l’itinerario culturale Bormida Gotica (bormidagotica.org) che si sviluppa in parte intorno al ramo di Spigno. L’itinerario raccoglie, al momento, lo studio di 26 beni (chiese, pievi) che conservano affreschi per lo più tardo gotici. L’abbinamento tra i sensi e cinque santi - scelti tra i più rappresentativi delle pitture - fa della Santa Esperienza un invito ad assecondare un’emozione alla volta, apprezzando e vivendo il momento. È un’offerta turistica originale che propone sempre la vista a un bene dell’itinerario. In particolare, il binomio Cassine-Bistagno è uno degli experience day più richiesti. I due comuni distano 23 km, percorribili in mezz’ora d’auto o 20’ in treno. Cassine si raggiunge in un’ora e mezza di auto da Milano, Torino, Genova o Savona. Le stazioni ferroviarie favorisco la mobilità sostenibile e l’escursionismo bike & train.

The Church of San Francesco > HEARING In Cassine's scenic Piazza Vittorio Veneto, an important crossroads in the early Middle Ages, stands the imposing Church of San Francesco, one of the sites of the Bormida Gotica circuit. The visit is combined with the sense of HEARING, thanks to the presence of Sant'Antonio Abate, who is encountered several times, depicted with a bell in his hand or on his staff. Many anecdotes and precious little secrets are revealed by the guide, and you can also listen to an episode dedicated to the site in the Bormida Gotica podcast. Bistagno. Giulio Monteverde Plaster Cast Gallery > SIGHT, TOUCH, SMELL The Plaster Cast Gallery houses Monteverde's plaster works from 1870 to 1917. The new exhibition features an interactive panel dedicated to in-depth information on the Oneto Angel—a sculpture that has surpassed its creator in fame and is the most reproduced in the world—enhances the sense of SIGHT, evokes emotion, and creates a dreamlike atmosphere. In the Plaster Cast Gallery, the Making Path [TOUCH] is a plus, and each guest is invited to touch the models that mark the transition from clay to plaster, marble, and bronze. One activity in the Workshop is to create a small scented plaster angel [SMELL]. Cassine or Bistagno.
