Activity description

Picking saffron means discovering the history of an age-old spice, which requires attention and very special care. A single bloom between October and November over a ten-day period following nature, delicate hand-picking at dawn when the flowers are still closed and moisture cannot damage the precious stigmas inside. At the end, sipping a cup of saffron tea, you will admire the ancient farm tools and the "nomadic" beehives of the farm. To complete the experience in Acqui Terme tour and wine tasting at a winery on the Aromatic Road.

Saffron experience: this spice is harvested in October/November and depends on the season and weather conditions. The harvesting period is decided in-house based on these variables and will be reconfirmed a week before the activity - winery tour and tasting (3 glasses + food platter) Saffron blooms in late October / November
