Inside a Dog Center in Sarezzano, in the Tortona Hills, you will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the dynamics of the different groups of livestock guardian dogs, including Maremma and Pastori della Sila, native Italian breeds, which have always been used as a deterrent to wolves and predators of flocks and poultry. You will have a close-up encounter with the Maremma sheepdog, a typical Italian livestock guardian dog: see how the dogs are trained, how the dog housing facilities are built, how it is fed, reproduction and training for its age-old task of guarding the livestock.


Strolling through the 40 hectares of pastures and woods of the estate, learn how they have become loyal and fearless guardians of Italian transhumance.
