Activity description

Discover the beauty of Monferrato through the lens of your camera in the most scenic season of the year !! Our workshop is the ideal place to familiarize yourself with new techniques and improve your photographic skills under the guidance of an expert professional who will give you advice and support.

Program

day 1
Arrive early afternoon,
check-in and introductory briefing.
Night photography of the villages of Monferrato (Grana and Montemagno).
Overnight in Calliano.

day 2
After breakfast, foliage photography.
Light lunch/snack.
Transfer to the Sacred Mountain of Crea for truffle-hunting at sunset /night and tasting of dish with truffle in agriturismo at Serralunga di Crea.
Overnight.

day 3
After breakfast, meet with the tutor for post-production photo analysis
Walk in the hills for the last photos and farewell toast in well-known winery of the area.

For those who wish to complete the experience with a one-off adventure, possibility of hot air balloon flight over the hills (book at the moment of registration euro 360 per person / minimum of 4 participants): the experience is dependent on the weather conditions and can be confirmed only a few days before. If the experience does not go ahead as planned it can be rescheduled to a later date.

TECHNICAL NOTES

Equipment required: own camera, reflex or mirrorless, no specific technical knowledge is required.

Topics handled: night photography (bring a tripod if you own one) - close-up photography and notes on macro-photography - foliage photography in slow time to create the dynamic effect - photographs of architecture, use of wide-angle lens and practicing with the use of tilt-shift lens

Throughout the workshop it will be possible to use several lenses from the wide-angle to the telephoto lens. It is recommended to bring an extra SD card.

ORGANIZATIONAL NOTES

The routes are easy and suited to all, walking skills are required.
For organizational needs connected with the weather conditions, the truffle hunting experience at night could be carried out on the first day.
Sportswear and boots are recommended for the truffle hunting activity.
