The Borsalino hat is synonymous with traditional craftsmanship and excellence. All production takes place just outside the city of Alessandria, where the original factory was founded in 1857. In the new factory premises, the gestures of the Borsalino women, the workers of the historic factory, are repeated daily. In the Museum, thanks to modern multimedia, you will discover how 52 processes are required to make a Borsalino hat by skilled craftsmen: all the steps are carried out just as they were 166 years ago, with no mass-produced molds, just passion and high professionalism.
This will be followed by a guided tour of the city of Alessandria to discover the works created by the Borsalino family for the city, as true patrons of the arts serving the community, including the architecture of Arnaldo and Ignazio Gardella. During the tour, you will stop at the brand's historic boutique to purchase "your" hat with a special discount.
