A 50-year-old journey
It makes me smile when I think of the Journey of a Travel Agency, which sends its clients on holiday. And yet, this is exactly what these 50 years have been: a Journey.
It began on 1 July 1976, with my father Alberto Valdata and my mother Marina Costanzo. A journey, which began in a small office in Via Trotti, of which a few black and white photos remain, and has continued, since 13 January 1979, here in Via Pistoia: “our street”.
Like Life itself, our journey has had its ups and downs, unexpected developments and sudden changes, partings, losses and challenges that have truly put us to the test… like the flood. We have always learnt from them and become a little stronger and a little more united.
Thanks to this Unity, to this “family”, that we have been able to create, with Maria Cristina and Giancarlo first and now Giancarlo and me, we can continue our journey, drawing on the strength of the professionalism, expertise and love for our work which my father handed down to us every day, so that each one of you can make your own Journey with a smile and the determination that inspires us to build, fully aware that the most important journey of all is the one we make inside ourselves…but to be able to do so on holiday is sometimes even better!
