The building stands in the town center, built on a pre-existing structure dating back to the 13th century. The current structure was built in 1846 and completed in 1848. Constructed entirely of brick, it has a gabled façade clad in marble and divided into three sections by pilasters running from the base to the entablature supporting the tympanum that caps the top. In the central section is the portal, characterized by lateral jambs and a crowning tympanum, and the rose window with a molded cornice of limited projection. The square bell tower is located on the extension of the left perimeter wall; the bell chamber is capped at the top by an entablature that supports the lantern, which topped with a metal-clad dome. The layout features a single nave punctuated by three pairs of pillars connected at the top by an entablature that runs the entire perimeter of the church, supporting the transverse arches supporting the ribbed vaults. The interior is richly decorated, including frescoed panels.
