A village located on the right bank of the Po River, a short distance from the road connecting Valenza with Casale Monferrato. Its history is linked to that of the "castrum di Pomaro," which appears in documents from the late 1200s. The castle (now privately owned) was likely built in the following century, during the rule of Pavia. Worthy of note is the neo-Gothic parish church of Santa Sabina, of which the Romanesque bell tower remains.
