Cà Mimia is a charming organic farmhouse located in the heart of Alto Monferrato, about an hour from Genoa, Milan, and Turin,
in a pristine natural setting between the Piota and Orba valleys.
The restaurant offers organic, traditional, and vegetarian dishes, cooked with produce from the farm's vegetable garden.
Guests have access to a small, self-contained, and welcoming guesthouse (see ROOMS section).
The house, surrounded by vineyards and meadows, features a swimming pool overlooking the Piota valley, the vineyards, and the characteristic gullies.
The farmhouse, an 18th-century building, has been restored with a focus on preserving its original architectural features and maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment. It is surrounded by vineyards that are cultivated by hand using organic methods, without herbicides or pesticides.
The cellar beneath the house is dug into the tuff and features brick vaults.
The wine is produced naturally and, since the 2017 harvest, has been certified organic.
The farm includes a small herd of free-roaming chickens.
In addition to wine, they also produce fruit preserves, rose syrup, tomato sauce, and spicy mustards.
The restaurant, opened in 2015, is open during the spring and summer seasons on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime; at other times, especially in the fall, it hosts themed events.
