L’Unico is born in Olivola, in the area of Alessandria. The oil produced in this area of Italy has a great history, and was awarded outstanding Italian product at the Paris Expo of 1910/11. Olive cultivation diminished over time, due to the climate which became too rigid and the diversity of consumption, but it is now returning to the region.
