Archivio Pittor Giani has been collecting, cataloging and promoting works and documents related to Felice Giani and his time since 1996. Located in the picturesque setting of Piazza Roma in San Sebastiano, the town where he was born in 1758, it houses an extensive and valuable collection of original documents and artworks. The collection includes sketchbooks, precious correspondence, as well as remarkable works and drawings by the Neoclassical master, who worked for Napoleon and Catherine of Russia and contributed to the decoration of some of the most prestigious palaces of his time. In 2023, APG organised “Felice Giani 200” to mark the 200th anniversary of the artist’s death. This important celebration also inspired the development of the UVA project.
Archivio Pittor Giani is part of the museum network along the historic Salt Roads UVA - Valle di Artisti.
The archive is temporarily closed, contact +39 340 162 1093 for bookings.
