Archivio Clemen Parrocchetti was established in 2017 to study the artist, highlight her work and promote it to a wider audience. She was born in Milan in 1923 and died in 2016. She had a deep connection with Borgo Adorno, one of her favorite places to work and important source of inspiration for her artistic production.

The Archivio, located inside the historic castle transformed into a house museum, has identified several thematic and research areas reflecting the great creative richness and variety of the artist's work and artistic languages. It has undertaken the cataloging and study of the artist’s works while also promoting cultural initiatives and a permanent exhibition within the house museum. These activities and exhibitions are curated by Marco Scotini.

Clemen Parrocchetti was born in Milan in 1923 and died there in 2016. She spent a large part of her life in the castle of Borgo Adorno (a hamlet of Cantalupo Ligure) which today preserves and celebrates her artistic legacy.
The artist expressed strong feminist ideals in her work, reflecting beliefs to which she was deeply committed. She later devoted herself to representing reality with a style initially inspired by George Grosz, which then transformed into a highly personal and original artistic language. Alongside pencils and brushes, she also experimented with needle and thread and other materials, creating works with a distinctive and unconventional character. Her work has been presented in successful exhibitions in Milan, Turin, Hamburg, Vienna, Ottawa and Stockholm, and many other prestigious cities.

Archivio Clemen Parrocchetti is part of the museum network along the historic Salt Roads UV-Una Valle di Artisti.
