Grignolino Grappa – Malvasia Grappa -Ruchè Grappa – Stravecchia Grappa – Barbera Grappa Every year, the best grape marc of the area, from the most prestigious farming companies of Monferrato, representing the pride of local wine production, reaches the Altavilla distillery. Grignolino, Barbera, Freisa, Malvasia, Moscato, Ruchè, Brachetto, Bonarda and Chardonnay are the vines that contribute with their characteristics and peculiarities, to as many single-vine grappa. Obtained from fresh grape marc that is steam distilled using copper alembic stills, after an attentive and scrupulous scrappage of heads and tails, the grappa of the Ancient Distillery of Altavilla, enclosed in prized Slavonian oak barrels and in Troncais barriques, goes through the last stage of that production process, preserved over time, handed down for 6 generations.
