The sunny hills were already covered with vineyards when La Guardia was owned by Prince Centurione and was part of the Morsasco Castle.
The Priarone family acquired ownership in the 1960s, and the initial seven hectares, after several subsequent acquisitions, grew to approximately thirty-five, entirely planted with vines.
The thirteen hectares of Villa Delfini were of fundamental importance. With its rolling hills and ancient, evocative cellars, it fostered a new way of interpreting wine and the world around it.
Quality at all costs became the new family motto. The La Guardia logo was placed alongside that of Villa Delfini.
The seventeenth-century underground cellars of Villa Delfini house the barriques used to age the most important red wines. Those overlooking the park are used exclusively to host events where wine always takes center stage.
