Truffle Fair of Sardigliano

On 26 October the magic of the white Truffle returns to Sardigliano.
The unmistakable aroma of the Tuber Magnatum Pico, the highly prized white truffle of the Piedmont hills, is the star of Sardigliano once again, a village southeast of Alessandria, just ten minutes from the motorway exit of Serravalle. On Sunday 26 October 2025, the village will transform into a celebration of the senses thanks to the new edition of the Truffle Fair, an event eagerly-awaited by foodies, families and the curious, which attracts hundreds of visitors each year. For twenty-five years the last Sunday of October has been dedicated to this event which celebrates the outstanding products of the territory and the passion of numerous local truffle hunters, joined in the Associazione Tartufai di Sardigliano, guardians of the forests and truffle-producing plants. The event is organized by Società di Mutuo Soccorso “Pietro Toselli” and by the Municipality of Sardigliano, with the sponsorship of the Piedmont Regional Authority and the Provincial Authority of Alessandria, and the collaboration of Distretto Novarese and Associazione Culturale Libarna Arteventi, important cultural and associative realities of the area.

The day will start with the Truffle Market Fair 2025 (from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the premises of the Società di Mutuo Soccorso), beating heart of the fair, and continue with the tasting of truffle risotto (from 3:30 p.m.), the awarding of the best Tuber Magnatum Pico truffle of 2025, and the eagerly awaited Truffle Draw (with prizes of black and white truffles).

Piazza Carretta will host the food and wine and handicraft market, with irresistible tastings: from bruschette with fried egg and truffle, to “gnocco fritto” with Truffle Ham Sabbione 1928, to fritters.

In the charming Piazzetta del Gusto (Cortile Maria Luisa, indoors) it will be possible to enjoy traditional dishes at popular prices: Stelline al Tartufo Sabbione 1928, chickpea soup, polenta with fondue and truffle, tripe with beans and typical desserts.
The key players at the fair include Sabbione 1928, a long-standing company of Sardigliano, which will bring its outstanding products to taste: Stelline of Sabbione and the prestigious Truffle ham, a refined meeting between the tradition of pork butchery and the noble taste of Truffle. The international advertising agency Nuvole Retail, with roots in Sardigliano, is the other sponsor of the most important event of the village.
