The village of Monferrato presents a popular route that invites residents and visitors to walk in the Christmas atmosphere.
Christmas, in Rosignano Monferrato, does not limit itself to being celebrated: it is traveled.

The village and the entire municipal area transform into a path of lights, traditions and meetings which accompany residents and visitors on an authentic walk through Christmas, an emotional journey which winds through hills, historic streets and symbolic sites of the area.

The idea of "Camminare nel Natale" and "Comunicare il Paesaggio Natalizio" was conceived as part of Progetto Borghi financed by the PNRR “Rosignano Accoglie: Saperi e Sapori in Monferrato”

The program got underway on 22 November with "Ars Labor" at Saloni Morano, an exhibition dedicated to art and creativity which ideally opens the festive season.

On 8th December, with the 21st edition of “Camminando nel Presepe”, Christmas spreads through Colma, Rovereto, Cappelletta and Garriano, along a route of small settings and big emotions, with more than eighty artistic works connected to the Nativity Scene and to the Christmas tradition: the works and the route will be presented with a toast at 4.30 p.m. in front of the headquarters of the Association Amis dla Curma, which conceived the project.

The ideal “camminata” through the Christmas Village continues on 12 December with the Christmas Evening at the Pro Loco dedicated to families and young people and then again on 13 December with the Staffetta per la Pace dei Territori Unesco with stop in the courtyard of honor of the Town Hall: a symbolic moment which mixes the value of the celebration with solidarity and which will unite all the nine Municipalities and the Unesco Core Zones “Il Monferrato degli Infernot”.

The Unesco Infernots – of which the village of Rosignano Monferrato is particularly rich – will be another important point of the Comunicazione del Paesaggio Natalizio: all the municipal infernots (there are seven and they are an outstanding example of beauty, charm and rural architecture) feature artistic nativity scenes which will be sure to fascinate tourists and visitors who come to the village and to the municipal Info point at weekends, departure point for tours of the area.

On Sunday 14 December the parish church will host the engaging sounds of the Christmas Gospel Concert at 4 p.m. followed by the blessing of the new school bus and by refreshments at the Pro Loco.


On 18 December, Teatro Ideal will host the shows of the Elementary School (3.30 p.m.) and Preschool (5.30 p.m.), while on Friday 19 December at 9 p.m. the same theater will host “A spasso tra curiosità, aneddoti e canti natalizi da tuto il mondo”, an “emotional” journey which brings together different cultures under one roof.

On Saturday 20 December, two special moments of the Camminata tra le emozioni del Tempo di Natale: the 3rd edition of “Natale al Forno” at 3 p.m. at Belgioino, between food and ancient traditions experienced with the wonders of an old communal wood-fired oven, restored recently by the municipality; and then the event of “Anima Mundi” at 6 p.m. at the Sanctuary of Our Lady delle Grazie, appointment dedicated to spirituality and interior listening.

The heart of the celebrations arrives on Wednesday 24 December, with the Holy Mass of the Nativity at the parish church at 10.30 p.m. followed by the traditional Christmas toast at the Pro loco.

The route continues on 27 and 28 December with the solidarity collection for Operazione Mato Grosso, active throughout the municipality, and ends on Sunday 4 January with the Solidarity Bingo at the headquarters of the Pro Loco at 3 p.m.

The walk will be enriched by other widespread initiatives which will color the village and the municipal territory for the entire holiday period: the Vetrina dell’Artigianato & Il Natale in piazza XI Settembre, the brightly lit Damigiane Augurali spread around the territory, the Solidarity Tree in Valmasia, and the nativity scenes of the children of the schools in Stevani and in Rosignano: more ingredients of a Landscape to communicate, experience and enjoy.
Rosignano Monferrato invites everyone to participate and to let themselves be guided by this popular route, made of gestures, atmospheres and traditions: a walk and a shared Landscape which transforms Christmas into an experience to enjoy together, step by step.
