Mostra "Apparenza e realtà"

On Saturday 12 July 2025, at 5:40 pm, Salone Marescalchi of the Castle of Monferrato will host the opening of "Apparenza e realtà", solo exhibition by Alessandro Lando, curated by Carlo Pesce. Open to the public until 27 July 2025.

The exhibition will showcase paintings and drawings made in the last five years, focused primarily on works produced using the technique of oil painting, both on canvas and board, alongside several drawings in biro; an exhibition route does not follow a serial logic, but is crossed by a leitmotiv: the realistic representation of common objects, very few landscapes, with the intent of restoring a vision of the world which does not stop at the appearance but invites to reflect on the deepest and often most hidden value of reality.

The title "Apparenza e realtà" alludes to this double dimension: what is seen and what is hidden, what strikes the eye and what solicits a more intimate resonance.


The artist presents an unambiguous key to interpretation, but leaves spectators the task of observing and allowing themselves to be crossed by the image, in an aesthetic experience which precedes and accompanies thought.

The exhibition will be open, free of charge, at weekends, on Saturday and Sunday,
from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm.
