microdances

Description

MicroDanze is an ambitious project of dance performances. Conceived by Gigi Cristoforetti, it stems from the idea of exploring different ways to experience dance performance, renewing the connection between historical and archaeological heritage and live performance. National and international choreographers have conceived short pieces (six to eight minutes, to be danced in a tiny space), which can be viewed one after the other as if visiting a museum. This project escapes the dynamics of the stage, the distance separating spectator from performer, creating a continuum between the viewer and the viewed, inspiring an emotional and aesthetic experience as varied as it is original. MicroDanze have animated historic buildings and international museums, such as Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome and the Acropolis Museum in Athens.

For Radic'arte, the dance journey is divided into three stages. "Eppur si muove" by Francesca Lattuada is a measured and solemn dance, taking shape on a pedestal and to the music of Beethoven. Antonella Bertoni's "Terra Piccola" is a female solo, enclosed within a geographical (and cultural) enclosure, looking to the future to seek out what remains of humanity. Diego Tortelli's "Soft P." is a sensual duo that generates a subtle, shared emotional tension, built on mutual respect and vulnerability.
