The "Il Grande Cammino del Monferrato" Association presents its new project in Piazza Marconi and Via San Lorenzo: crafts, local producers, and collateral events every second Saturday of the month.
Alessandria – Transforming the heart of the city into a vibrant experiential hub, connecting residents to the roots
of the region and the growing flow of slow tourism. With this spirit, the "Il Grande Cammino del Monferrato" Social Promotion Association announces the launch of "Market 15121 – Mercato in Cammino," the new monthly market
that will liven up Piazza Marconi and Via San Lorenzo every second Saturday of the month starting Saturday, May 9th.
The evolution of a journey: from Palm Market to Market 15121.
The project was born as a natural continuation and enrichment of the previous Palm Market experience.
The Association has decided to build on this positive legacy, evolving it through the network of partners encountered along the Monferrato trails. The goal is to create a "living showcase" of the Terre di Aleramo, where synergy, networking, and locality become the key words for a new beauty economy. The project is not limited to a simple commercial exhibition, but aims to be a true "open-air laboratory" for the new artisan culture. The event will feature hobbyists and artists, focused on creative reuse and authentic craftsmanship, as well as small artisans, with
live demonstrations of ancient crafts, food and wine producers, and local specialties.
An experiential market
Market 15121 will not only be a place of exchange, but a stop on the Camino itself. To make the event a
dynamic gathering point, Market 15121 will be enriched by a supporting program that includes
guided walks with arrival and departure in the market area, "Passi e Parole" talks, short thematic meetings with writers, local historians, and environmental guides, and a stamp point, a space dedicated to walkers to stamp their credentials and receive information about the routes.

An opportunity for the city
Angelica Mancia, President of the Association, emphasizes the strategic importance of the initiative:
"This market not only attracts occasional visitors, but also taps into slow tourism, transforming the transit of walkers into a real
economy for local producers. With this initiative, Alessandria confirms its role as an attractive capital and a key hub
of the Monferrato region."
