Camino Walk

The Confraternity of San Gottardo, in collaboration with guide Augusto Cavallo of Cammini Divini, is organizing this easy hike to remember and thank Gianni, a friend who was a great benefactor of San Gottardo and a good, kind-hearted walker who hosted us several times during our excursions. We will once again explore the places Gianni loved, immersed in the Monferrato countryside around Camino, a medieval village, discovering not only exceptional views but also points of historical and natural interest.

Departure is at 3:00 PM.

After setting off, we will pass by the medieval Aleramico Castle of Camino, then reach Big Bench No. 117. We will visit the Grangia di Gaiano, an ancient fortified rural settlement, and then descend towards the Po River. From there, we will return to the town center with a brief stop at the Pro Loco office, before returning to the starting point.

At the end of the hike, there will be refreshments for everyone at the Church of San Gottardo.

The total route is approximately 11 km with an elevation gain of +265 m.

Participation costs:
Walk fee: €10.00
Refreshments: Free will be offered to the Church of San Gottardo.

We recommend comfortable clothing and sports shoes, a hat, and a supply of water. Nordic Walking poles will be provided free of charge, subject to availability.
