On Saturday 31 January, during the exhibition "Ignazio Gardella. Progettare la città", running until 15 March 2026 at the prestigious Art Rooms of Alessandria, guided tours will be held of the architectural work of Gardella which has made Alessandria into a modern city. An initiative made possible by the institutional collaboration between the City of Alessandria, ASM Costruire Insieme, Order of Architects PPC
Alessandria and University Hospital of Alessandria “SS. Antonio e Biagio e Cesare Arrigo”, together to promote
the work
of Ignazio Gardella.
The program includes the visit to the Vittorio Emanuele II Sanatorium
(1928-1938), today the
"Teresio Borsalino" Rehabilitation Center, designed by Arnaldo and Ignazio Gardella with Luigi Martini, the Church
of the Sanatorium (1929-1934).
The second stage relates to the architecture of the House for Borsalino employees (1948-1952) and the Fur cutting
factory (1949-1956). The tours will end with a visit to the architectural icon of the Anti-tuberculosis Dispensary (1933-
1938) and the Hygiene and Prophylaxis Laboratory (1933-1938).

9.30 a.m. - Meet at the "Teresio Borsalino" Center (Piazzale Ravazzoni, 4) visit the Sanatorium and the Church
10.45 a.m. - House for Borsalino Employees (Corso Teresio Borsalino 17)
followed by the Fur cutting factory (Corso XX Settembre 6)
12 p.m. - Anti-tuberculosis Dispensary (Via Don Gasparolo)
