58th Fair, 1st International edition of the Trifola d'Or White Truffle Fair.

With the recent recognition of the qualification of International White Truffle Fair, the Trifola d’Or of Murisengo (AL) is preparing a revamped schedule, which merges the solidity of tradition with the effectiveness of the new configuration. A highly coveted goal, achieved over time, which reaches completion on its 58th edition, with respect to an autumnal appointment which embeds its origins in the commercial agricultural tradition of the 16th century.
Better known as “Terra del Tartufo”, Murisengo stands out in the regional landscape for the organization of a people-friendly fair and unique in the specific combination of requirements which it celebrates in a rigorously bucolic context and dedicated to the truffle, the king of underground mushrooms appreciated the world over, that of the Tuber magnatum Pico.
The fair will be held on Sunday 16 and Sunday 23 November, characterized by a busy and essential schedule which will revolve around the White Truffle. New entries are expected for the first international edition without, nonetheless, disrupting the consolidated and appreciated format which has made the content target of the event famous and qualitatively elevated over the years. A restyling of the space, with redesigned environments and furnishings will be developed. The truffles on show and sold will once again be guaranteed by the Centro Nazionale Studi del Tartufo of Alba, of which Murisengo is a co-founding partner.
There will be two Street Food stations, one in piazza Lavazza and the other in via 4 Novembre, where visitors can taste delicious local products such as the “crucium del Trifolao” (a bruschetta with truffle and cheese or honey), bagna cauda, the tagliolini all’uovo with butter, the agnolotti and the steak tartare with truffle. The feature of this edition is that the Street Food will be managed by several entities, including the Pro Loco and other associations.
Participating restaurants, namely “Ristorante San Candido”, “Canonica di Coteranzo”, “Locanda dell’Angelo” and “Centro ricreativo di San Candido”, present a set menu agreed with the Fair (booking is required). What is another unique feature of the Festival of Murisengo Monferrato? It is possible to purchase the preferred truffle and decide to eat it at the chosen restaurant, mentioning this at the time of booking.
