21st UPO Research Night: "Play the Limit! When Constraints Create Possibilities"

The initiative will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at DISIT, Viale T. Michel 11 in Alessandria.
The evening will begin at 8:45 pm with institutional greetings from Menico Rizzi, Rector of the University of Eastern Piedmont, Guido Lingua, Director of DISIT, Giorgio Barberis, Director of DIGSPES, Marco Santi, Director of the "A. Vivaldi" Conservatory, and Giorgio Abonante, Mayor of Alessandria.
At 9:00 pm, the eagerly awaited keynote speech will be held with a special guest: Professor Andrea Moro. A neurolinguist, novelist, member of the Lincei Academy, and full professor of General Linguistics at the IUSS in Pavia and the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Moro will deliver a talk entitled "Impossible Intelligences (Artificial and Languages): The Gift of Limits." It will be a fascinating journey into the role of limits for the structures of language and for today's artificial intelligences.
Starting at 10:00 PM, it will be possible to participate in interactive workshops, escape rooms, and hands-on experiences with UPO researchers.
