The tour winds through picturesque landscapes, combining natural beauty with cultural heritage. The tour starts from Tortona, the hub of the Colli Tortonesi petal: from here the itinerary ventures among gentle hills covered with vineyards and leads towards Monleale, where Timorasso and Barbera vineyards outline the landscape, testifying to the region's rich winemaking tradition. From Monleale it descends towards Volpedo, known for being the homeland of the famous painter Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo. The historic center is scattered with reproductions of his works, allowing for an interesting "tour within a tour". Leaving Volpedo, the route climbs for one last time to a panoramic balcony at the Santuario Madonna della Fogliata in Casalnoceto and then stretches towards the plain, making way for flat gravel sections among cultivated fields and farmhouses, heading towards Viguzzolo and then back to Tortona.
