The church was built to replace a previous one, which was in serious disrepair, starting in 1711, as attested by a plaque embedded in the building. It stands within the town center and features the characteristic features of eighteenth-century buildings. The building's façade has a gabled construction; the surface finish is plaster. It is divided into two registers, the lower one delimited at the top by an entablature. Two superimposed orders of pilasters divide the façade into three sections for each register. The interior consists of a single nave punctuated by three pairs of pilasters, joined at the top by an entablature that runs along the entire perimeter of the church and upon which the arches supporting the vaults of the roof are set. These, in the area of the clerestory, are interrupted by lunettes corresponding to the individual openings. The square-plan bell tower is located adjacent to the building's perimeter walls, in the area near the apse. The bell tower is surmounted by a frame from which four acroteria rise at the vertices and from which the closing spire rises.
