The Circolo Ilva has existed since 1938 and has always been associated with the ILVA steelworks as a recreational club open to all residents.
In 1995, the club took on a different management structure, becoming the "Nuovo Circolo Ilva" Cooperative, a green lung within the city of Novi Ligure. The Circolo Ilva currently owns the buildings and land located at Corso Piave, 2, Novi Ligure, and an artificial lake in the municipality of Pozzolo Formigaro.

The Circolo Ilva in Novi Ligure is a historic social and recreational center, originally established for workers at Ilva, the steelworks that played a key role in the industrial development of the Novi Ligure area. Today, the club plays an important role in the community, hosting cultural, recreational, and sporting activities for members and local residents.
