There is evidence of a deed of donation dating back to 1592 for the transformation of the family oratory of Marquis Giovanni Passalacqua into a parish church. The current building can be dated to 1595, the date of completion of the work. Located in the hamlet of Passalacqua, the building displays neoclassical features, likely the result of subsequent renovations. The façade features a gabled construction scheme with a plastered surface finish. A series of pilasters divides it into three sections, rising from the base plinth to the upper capital, which rests on a large entablature supporting the tympanum that crowns the complex. The square-plan bell tower is located adjacent to the perimeter wall in the apse area. The octagonal bell chamber is topped by a metal-clad spire.
The interior, which underwent relatively recent modernization and restoration, consists of a central nave enclosed by an apse. The floor plan is punctuated by three pairs of pillars connected at the top by the arches supporting the ribbed vaults. Along the perimeter walls, in the spaces between the pillars, are three pairs of shallow chapels, more pronounced near the presbytery area.
