The town's center is centered around the medieval castle, built on a low hill overlooking the Gattola River valley.
The castle, towering over the village, presents the image of a major 19th-century restoration, but also conceals Baroque and Neoclassical spaces. The Italian garden offers a splendid view of the surrounding area.
The parish church was built on the ruins of the ancient church of Santa Maria and consecrated in 1822.
