The Municipality is part of the dominion of the Marquises of Monferrato of the Thirteenth century. The Parish Church of San Vincenzo Martire was built in the second half of the 16th century, plundered in the following century and restored in the 19th century by Mella. The Church of San Michele Arcangelo was built on a tower of the boundary walls of the medieval fortification starting from the 16th century; deconsecrated, it is now a cultural centre. Baldesco Castle preserves remains of the moat and the ancient structure dating to the 15th century.
