The current parish church, like the old one, is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary Assumed into Heaven. Grand and monumental, it is located alongside the main road (the former Napoleonic Road).
It was built between 1895 and 1897 in the Renaissance style.
In early May 1895, the foundations were laid based on a design by architect Antonio Cuore di Monastero Bormida.
On August 29, 1897, it was opened for worship and consecrated by Bishops Monsignor Pietro Balestra, Bishop of Acqui Terme, and Monsignor D'Affra, Bishop of Ventimiglia.
Among other features, it features an artistic choir, composed partly of mirrors and American wood backrests, sanded and polished with varnish, recovered from a room of a Royal Sacrament that was demolished and coordinated according to a design by Thea Alessandro, of the Acqui Terme Cathedral; the hanging seats in the presbytery are in the same style.
Montesti's magnificent organ was acquired from the Jewish synagogue of Turin in 1933.
The two side aisles end with two marble altars, one dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Lourdes and the other to Saint Anthony of Padua, patron saint of the parish.
The balustrades of the high altar and all the chapels are made of white marble.
In the apse is an artistic oval stained-glass window depicting Saint Anthony.
