Il Cavallino opens in 1876 on the site of the old post office of Tortona, a place which was once intended for the temporary stopping of stagecoaches, where horses were changed. In 2009, Giuseppe, Luca and Stefano take over management of the facility, expanding it in 2010 with the opening of Trattoria del Ciccio.
