The Church of the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption stands on the site of the Oratory of San Bartolomeo, of which only a few fragments remain on the southern façade.
The entirely plastered façade features a lower section divided into three sections by Ionic pilasters, with the central section occupied by the main portal. The two very simple, unframed side portals are surmounted by two thermal windows that illuminate the side aisles. A tall, projecting cornice divides the lower section from the upper, which culminates in a triangular pediment.
The interior is divided into three naves, with the side aisles covered by cross vaults and the central nave by a barrel vault.
The altars are set directly against the side walls, corresponding to each bay, and are surmounted by thermal windows.
The presbytery is raised and semicircular.
