The wonders between lake and hills

Day 1

• Early afternoon arrival and half-day guided tour of the delightful historic centre of Orta San Giulio, across its maze of lanes and en- chanting views close to the mooring docks, ideal points for meaningful photographs.
• Dinner at leisure.
• Overnight accommodation in 3* lakefront hotel.

Day 2

• Breakfast in Hotel.
• Transfer by own means to Omegna, north of the lake.
• 1⁄2-day boat rental for a maximum of 5 people, equipped with a 25 HP engine, driver does not require a boat license, easy to drive: boat return followed by aperitif by the lake with snacks and beverage.
• Lunch at leisure.
• In the afternoon, independent itinerary around the lake: we suggest stopping at the enchanting village of Pella for the climb to the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake and the precious Island of San Giulio.
• Dinner at leisure.
• Overnight accommodation.

Day 3

• Breakfast in Hotel and check-out.
• Morning dedicated to an independent vi- sit of Sacro Monte di Orta, UNESCO heritage site, and the Island of San Giulio.
• Lunch at leisure.
• Transfer to Stazzano by own means.
• In the early afternoon, guided tour with ta- sting at a renowned farm, main activities are rearing cattle, goats, sheep and pigs. The raw materials are used to produce cheese and cu- red meats of superior quality: these include the “Montebore” and “Salame Nobile del Gia- rolo”. The experience includes a guided tour of the production processes of the excellent products and tasting of local products.
• Dinner at leisure and overnight accommo- dation in charming agriturismo.

Day 4

• Breakfast in agriturismo.
• In the morning, visit of the Bodrato cho- colate factory, artisan laboratory where only the highest quality raw materials are used: Hazelnuts of Piedmont IGP, Mint from Panca- lieri, Cherries from Garbagna and much more. Discover the secrets of the entire process, from bean roasting to chocolate production, tasting some small delicacies produced in the company.
• Lunch at leisure.
• In the afternoon, independent visit to the historic centre of Novi Ligure, to discover the painted buildings inspired by Genoa and the delicious “focaccia novese”, typical of the area.
• The afternoon continues at a winery, situa- ted among the Gavi hills and the charming Park of Capanne di Marcarolo.
• Guided tour of the production and ageing cellar with tasting of 5 Doc and Docg wines produced, including the special “Gavi in an- fora”, all accompanied by local culinary spe- cialties.
• Dinner at leisure and overnight accommo- dation.

Day 5

• Breakfast in agriturismo and check-out.
• Transfer by own means to Borghetto di Borbera.
• Local cooking course in agriturismo: a uni- que opportunity for hands-on experience with Massimo Martino, chef of the magnifi- cent agriturismo at the entrance to Val Bor- bera. The practical lessons change depending on the season: from flowers in the kitchen in spring to the mushroom and truffle based di- shes, without forgetting fresh pasta, in parti- cular ravioli, star of the local cuisine.
• Lunch composed of the specialties prepa- red during the cooking class.
• Return.
