The City of Alessandria, ASM Costruire Insieme and Opera Carlo Felice of Genoa, with the “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria, present “PASSION”, the 2023/2024 concert season which will be held in Alessandria.

Between the end of winter and late spring 2024 the Orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theatre of Genoa will be the protagonist of a cycle of four concerts which - travelling the territory of Alessandria through several of its most significant historical, artistic and spiritual sites - will move along an itinerary of two centuries of music history, with a deliberate prevalence of Italian authors from the late 18th century to the full 20th century in a


continuous and stimulating comparison with recognized peaks of the mature classicism of Hayden and Mozart.
The Orchestra will be guided by internationally acclaimed directors such as Alessandro Cadario, Riccardo Minasi, Domenico Nordio and Alexander Lonquich, the last two also as soloists, and accompanied by
its First Clarinet Valeria Serangeli as a soloist in the last concert.

The 2023/2024 season will end on Wednesday 29 May 2024 always at 9 pm with the concert "VIRTUOSI" of the Orchestra of the Opera Carlo Felice of Genoa, Director Alessandro Cadario, Clarinet Valeria Serangeli, at the Santa Maria di Castello Complex of Alessandria.

The programme for the evening includes the performance of Symphony no. 64 in A major "Tempora mutantur” Hob. I:64 by Franz Joseph Haydn, the Concertino for clarinet and orchestra in B flat major by Gaetano Donizetti, Variations for clarinet and orchestra by Gioachino Rossini, Nocturne op. 70 no. 1 by Giuseppe Martucci and the Second concert for orchestra by Goffredo Petrassi.

Alessandro Cadario will propose the concert “VIRTUOSI” which will see as soloist Valeria Serangeli, first clarinet of the orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theatre.
The programme also includes two pieces of two Italian composers like Giuseppe Martucci and Goffredo Petrassi.
