A fascinating journey in the world of Gold. The first and only guided tour of a historic jewellery company, excellence of craftsmanship headquartered in Valenza since 1957 where a cultural and sensory route explains how the jewels are born: art in the DNA with the history of the family and the indissoluble connection between jewellery and painting; the Museum or the Hall of History which traces the development of the equipment of the master goldsmiths and showcases the numerous national and international awards received by the company; the Factory, namely inside the jewellery workshop: this area illustrates the various steps in the creation of a jewel, from the design idea (the freehand drawing and then the transposition to 3D), passing to the waxes, to arrive at the choice of materials and precious stones; the Boutique, the display cabinet of the exclusive creations to admire and purchase with the advice of a true jewellery guide.
Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer to the River Orba Nature Reserve for a real gold hunting adventure in the rivers. Start with the visit to the Museum of
Gold,
a display area which comprises ancient tools of the trade, such as finds dating back to Roman times, artifacts, items and documents connected with the search for gold. Illustration of the search techniques will follow, with the first practical tests using the pan: by sieving, washing and refining the sand to eliminate all the impurities it is possible to start seeing specks of gold with the naked eye. To remember the day, you will take home the 92% pure gold collected with your
own hands.
During the experience, a merenda sinoira (afternoon snack) will be offered with typical products of the Monferrato and local tradition.
