Teatro Municipale

18th century gem, rich in stucco, gilding and velvet, built by the Società di Napoli, to the design of Agostino Vitoli. It has four tiers of boxes, royal box and gallery. Restored in the early 1800s, it became municipal theatre in 1861.

Since 1990, it has begun to host an important Theatre Season, which covers different months of the year, as well as concerts, conferences and cultural initiatives.


OPENING DURING CASALE CITTA' APERTA

The Municipal Theatre is usually open to visitors on the second Sunday of the month (and the preceding Saturday) during "Casale Città Aperta". Admission is free, at the following times:
- April to October Saturday (3.30 pm - 6.30 pm) and Sunday (10 am -12.30 pm and 3.30 pm -6.30 pm);
- November to March Saturday (3 pm - 5.30pm) and Sunday (10 am -12.30 pm and 3 pm -5.30 pm).
The opening times may vary depending on events, shows, renovation work,
etc.
