The wine road - Second edition

Gourmet Itinerary

An itinerary, which adds a different and original EXPERIENCE to the traditional winery tour. Take part in the preparation and tasting of the famous soft amaretti biscuits of Voltaggio accompanied by a delicious glass of local moscato.

Saturday - first day 

10 am pick-up everything you need from Monile Viaggi.

Morning dedicated to a guided tour of the Fort of Gavi, an imposing construction situated in the homonymous town and built to defend Via Postumia which connected the Republic of Genoa and Southern Piedmont. A military fortress of considerable size that overlooks the town. At the end, free time for a stroll in the old medieval centre of the town and possibility to purchase and taste its local products. Light lunch at leisure.

The visits will continue in the afternoon to the small medieval village of Voltaggio, where it will be possible to take a guided tour and admire the sacred works of art of the Picture Gallery, in the Church of the Capuchin Convent.

The Gallery offers an exquisite collection, which includes works that range from the 15th to the 18th century by painters from Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy such as Luca Cambiaso, Domenico Fiasella, Sinibaldo Scorza, Bernardo Strozzi, Agostino Bombelli, Paolo Pagani.

The tour will be followed by an original EXPERIENCE in a renowned bakery of the town, where it will be possible to prepare the famous soft amaretti of Voltaggio with the owners and enjoy them freshly baked accompanied by a glass of moscato. Finally, for shopaholics, free time to visit the largest Outlet in Europe for a true shopping EXPERIENCE. Dinner at "La Bollina" winery and overnight stay at Serravalle Golf Hotel. 

Sunday - second day

Breakfast at the hotel and start of the Food and Wine tour "Wine Road" where some of the best wine estates will serve high quality wines and local products. 

10 am visit and wine tasting at La Bollina 

11.30 am visit and wine tasting at Cascina degli Ulivi

1.30 pm visit and wine tasting at La Cedraia/Valditerra Laura c/o Cascina Perpetua

2.45 pm visit and wine tasting at La Zerba

4.30 pm visit and wine tasting at Villa Pallavicini

6 pm visit and wine tasting at La Raia

At the end of the visits, return home.
