Conzano presents the travel journals of Count Carlo Vidua for la Notte degli Archivi 2023

Special opening of Villa Vidua in Conzano for Archivissima 2023.

from 8 pm to 11 pm

The historian, Roberto Coaloa, will explain the Carnets de Voyage of the traveller par excellence, Count Carlo Vidua (1785-1830). On the 150th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Manzoni, Coaloa will also focus on the "correspondence" between Vidua and the Grande Lombardo, both born in 1785. Vidua admired Manzoni's works, like Adelchi, Manzoni venerated the great traveller, and shared this passion with his friends from Piedmont, in particular with Roberto d'Azeglio.


On the night of 9 June, a buffet will be offered in Villa Vidua with wines from Monferrato, Barbera and Grignolino, produced by the estates of Conzano belonged to the Vidua family.
