Inauguration of the exhibition of historical posters - "Giacomo e Achille Panizza direttori d'orchestra al Teatro Municipale"

Dates

Description
31 May 2024 marks 140 years of Giacomo Puccini's debut, with "Le Willis" in Milan.

This important date has inspired the in-depth analysis of Achille Panizza, who was the orchestra conductor of Puccini's debut, and the father Giacomo, maestro on the harpsichord for 30 years at La Scala of Milan and originally from Castellazzo Alessandrino, today Castellazzo Bormida.

The events, organised by the Conservatory of Alessandria, want to introduce these two maestros, their relationship with the city of Alessandria, in a concert-narrative which will be held on 1 June in which musical pieces will alternate with stories of the life and career of the two maestros, thanks to the British pianist Nicole Panizza and singers of the Conservatory,

The inauguration on 21 May will start at 5 pm.

Info
The exhibition of historical posters is entitled "Giacomo ed Achille Panizza direttori d'orchestra al Teatro Municipale" and will be open to the public, on the main floor of Palazzo Cuttica, from 21 May to 1 June, date of the concert-narrative performance "Giacomo ed Achille Panizza tra Verdi e Puccini".
