Description
"Abbi cura di te" and "Sei un opera d'arte" put together form the name of the project in which the great masterpieces of art are cloaked in the elegance of personal protection devices (PPE) to raise awareness on safety.

The idea, conceived by Unigum and realized thanks to the artist Marco Rindori, is simple: iconic works, timeless widely recognizable masterpieces, have been skillfully reproduced "contaminating" them with personal protection equipment. The angels of the Sistine Madonna by Raffaello wear eyeglasses to protect themselves from fine dust and from the dazzling light of Paradise, the characters in Giovanni Stradano' s laboratory are wearing gloves and equipment to protect themselves from the smoke of alchemic experiments, and masks and self-contained breathing apparatuses appear in the metaphysical space of The Disquieting Muses by De
Chirco.


THE EXHIBITION

The exhibition ABBI CURA DI TE SEI UN'OPERA D'ARTE retraces the continuous search to transform safety into a unique artistic experience and transmit a message without negative, educational and cultural connotations, where each individual becomes a work of art to preserve and enhance.

The works take the visitors on a journey through art, punctuated by the objects of safety, that ranges from the Renaissance beauty of Botticelli to the seductive modernity of Tamara de Lempicka.

Organised by the municipality of Alessandria and ASM Costruire Insieme in association with Unigum with the sponsorship of Confindustria Alessandria and Fondazione VIVA and the support of Bulgari, the exhibition meanders between Palazzo Cuttica and Museo Borsalino.
