An itinerary to discover the most fascinating villages of Valle Spinti and Val Borbera with an e-bike route between breathtaking scenery and unique experiences.

Note

Itinerary to discover the verdant Spinti Valley. Pick-up the e-bikes in Grondona and led by our expert cycle tour guide visit its characteristic historic centre full of historical testimonies. The village is built in local stone and recalls typical Ligurian villages. Visit the must-see sites: Church of the Annunziata and the Church of S. Maria dell'Assunta of Romanesque style, the 16th century tower of Doria Castle and the ancient stone bridge.
The scenic route continues towards the rural villages of Sasso and Lemmi as far as Castel dei Ratti.
In a well-known restaurant of the area, cooking class to discover the traditional dishes (lessons and the dishes prepared vary according to the season) and you will end by tasting the food! To follow, visit the village of Borghetto Borbera, its historic centre and the Toy Museum.
Return to the Spinti Valley to discover the "Abeghi" drying room used until the 1950s to dry the chestnuts. The chestnut has had a very important role in the culture, economy of families and in the peasant tradition, and this itinerary is a historical memory of its importance for the area. At the end, visit a company specialised in the production of honey obtained through transhumance of the bees (awarded by Slow Food): here you will discover the social organisation of the bees and their essential environmental role, the products of the beehive and the honey cycle.
