Chiesa di Santa Giustina e Sant'Agnese

It became a parish church in 1595 under the patronage of Giustina Garofoli and consecrated by the Bishop Maffeo Gambara in the same year. Restored in 1726 by the Baron Boniforte Guidobono-Cavalchini-Garofoli, it was widened and brought to its current shapes by the Baron Vittorio Emanuele in 1880. With a bishop's decree of 1878 it was also dedicated to Saint Agnes. The interior has a single nave with raised presbytery with semi-circular termination, the apse zone is characterised by the presence of an ambulatory delimited by columns. Today, the decorative apparatus of the church is formed by twenty-four canvases from the Church of St. Francis which are dated to two distinct painting cycles by Procaccini for the same church: from the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception the Stories of the Virgin and Christ together with the Four Doctors of the Church and the Prophets; from the Chapel of Saint Agnes the episodes of the homonymous martyred saint.
