EXHIBITION ENTITLED "PASSAGGI IN PENOMBRA" BY KANACO TAKAHASHI
The City of Alessandria and ASM Costruire Insieme host "Passaggi in Penombra" かげりに浮かぶ調べ Kagerini ukabu shirabe, the monographic exhibition of the Japanese artist Kanaco Takahashi at Sale d'Arte. The artist, born in 1983, has been residing in Italy for many years.
This exhibition is the first event in the programme of Japanese artists entitled "Pensieri Leggeri" センサイナシコウ Sensai na shikou, the first two appointments are scheduled from October 2023 to January 2024. The programme is composed of a series of monographic exhibitions in succession and presents a vast overview of the works of five Japanese artists with significant exhibition experience in Japan and in Italy. The artists are all different in terms of generation, training and background, but they have all identified Italy as the ideal setting in which to develop their artistic and poetic vision. They share the ability to engage the spectator’s gaze, though in different images and languages, through a strong and characteristic poetic lightness which originates from their original cultural imprinting. One of the features which the programme highlights is that of the abovementioned lyric lightness which, each time, accompanies themes such as light, nature, colour, transparency, shadow and emptiness.
Each exhibition of the programme "Pensieri Leggeri", developed in association with Associazione Libera Mente Laboratorio di Idee and Paraventi Giapponesi - Galleria Nobili, Milano, avails of the prestigious sponsorship of the Consulate-General of Japan of Milan, the Piedmont Regional Authority, the Provincial Authority of Alessandria, and the SantaGiulia Academy of Fine Arts of Brescia.
Inauguration: 5.30 pm
The exhibition is open from Thursday to Sunday: from 3 pm to 7 pm (opening times of Sale d'Arte).
