EXHIBITION "ACQUI E DINTORNI" STORIA E COSTUME, CURIOSITA' E INEDITI
The exhibition, "Acqui e dintorni", storia e costume, curiosità e inediti, puts on show approximately 90 exhibits of lithographs, etchings and artist’s books, but above all documents and prints. All are strictly vintage and date from the 18th century to the present day. Curiosities and unpublished testimonies are also present on the game of 'pallone elastico' (a ballgame in which a rubber ball is hit with the fists) the most deeply rooted sport of the area, at the end of the 19th century and early 20th century. Important and curious 18th and 19th century edicts focused on local history, not only of Acqui but also of its surroundings. Books and ancient publications are exhibited in dedicated display cases. A catalogue showing all the exhibits accompanies the exhibition, which takes up the four different art rooms of Palazzo Robellini. Texts by Gianfranco Schialvino.
