Description
In the year in which Casale Monferrato was recognized with the title of European City of Wine and exactly ten years since the UNESCO recognition of "Vineyard landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato" UNESCO HERITAGE Site, the Wine Festival of Monferrato Unesco returns with 31 Pro Loco, 24 wine producers from Monferrato and 6,000 seats, in the beloved setting of the Pavia market of Piazza Castello.

As with the previous editions, the appointments start in late August and continue through September, between Castle and historical centre, before the two unmissable weekends dedicated to typical dishes of the area and the great wine of Monferrato!

The 63rd edition of the Wine Festival is dedicated to Federico Martinotti, our illustrious fellow townsman, pioneer of Italian spumante (sparkling wine) production and inventor of the "Martinotti method", the world's most used for spumante (sparkling wine) production.

Upon entering the Festival, it will be possible to purchase official sustainable glasses, to experience the event and enjoy the tastings easily and safely.
