MESE DEL CINEMA IS LAUNCHED IN ALESSANDRIA
The synergy between the Alessandria Film Festival - managed this year by the director from Alessandria Luca Ribuoli - and the Festival Adelio Ferrero Cinema e Critica, gives way to a program of cultural events for the entire town from 28 September to the end of October.
The guests include: Pierpaolo Spollon, Daniele Luchetti, Milena Vukotic, Neri Marcorè, Pif, Pilar Fogliati, Vinicio Marchioni and many more.
A small big cultural revolution awaits the town of Alessandria for the month of October with the launch of "Ottobre Alessandrino - Mese del Cinema", an initiative geared to strengthening the town's networks with a rich cultural program that will enliven the town from 28 September to the end of October.
The event is the result of the synergy between two film festivals which have been rooted in Piedmont for several years: the Festival Adelio Ferrero Cinema e Critica, which will be held from 5 to 13 October and the Alessandria Film Festival from 25 to 28 October.
Festival Adelio Ferrero Cinema e Critica, focused on the current state of film criticism, has been the cultural reference point for Alessandria for the past ten years thanks to the artistic management of Roberto Lasagna and Giorgio Simonelli, and will help to create an integrated cultural program to strengthen the synergies with cultural institutions and local authorities of Alessandria.
Now in its 6th edition, the Alessandria Film Festival will be managed from this year by Luca Ribuoli, director from Alessandria and winner of two Nastri d'Argento and author of numerous successful TV series for SKY ("Call my agent - Italia"), Rai ("L'allieva", "La mafia uccide solo d'estate").
Books, meetings, exhibitions, training activities for the upper secondary schools, workshops for kids, a writing contest open to interested people and screenings of international long and short films introduced by leading figures of the cultural and audiovisual world. These are only some of the activities in store at Ottobre Alessandrino, which will open with Pierpaolo Spollon, the star of numerous successful TV series; the eagerly-awaited actor will present the key points of the program of Ottobre Alessandrino, in conversation with Carlotta Sanzogni before presenting his book "Tutto non Benissimo".
The guests, involved in talk shows and presentations, will include personalities such as Daniele Luchetti and Milena Vukotic, and the renowned film critics Steve Della Casa and Oreste De Fornari - within the scope of Festival Adelio Ferrero Cinema e Critica - and followed by Daria Bignardi, Neri Marcorè, Pif, Vincio Marchioni, a special concert by Rachele Bastreghi and many other events.
Furthermore, an exceptional jury, composed by Pilar Fogliati, Marta Gastini, Gualtiero Burzi and Alberto Basaluzzo will bring to life the eagerly-awaited short film contest of the Alessandria Film Festival expected from 25 to 27 October.
Ottobre Alessandrino - which debuts with a bright red illustration by the world- famous illustrator Riccardo Guasco - is also possible thanks to the essential support of the local institutions starting with the Municipality of
Alessandria.
Many brands have given their support to this ambitious project. From Borsalino, which has always been connected to cinema, to Paglieri, historical company of Alessandria.
Supported by the Municipality of Alessandria, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria, Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria-Asti, the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, the Cinema Museum of Turin and by local companies and businessmen, Ottobre Alessandrino aims to offer the town an opportunity for cultural and cinematic insight.
