Tuesday 6 September 2022 at 5.30 pm at the "Francesca Calvo" Civic Library of Alessandria, opening of the exhibition "Mitologia inchiostrata: la mitologia italiana raccontata attraverso l'inchiostrazione a fumetti" of Valentina Tretola, in art
'Hutch'.
The original panels on show have been designed directly by the artists with the intent of spreading Italian legends, myths and folklore as much as possible.
Valentina Tretola, in art 'Hutch', the author of the works on show, attended the Artistic High School of Benevento and the three-year course in Comics in Rome. She has worked with Ultra Edizioni and Scuola Romana dei Fumetti on the titles " In Casa: storie a fumetti tra quattro mura"; "In Maschera: storie e fumetti dal volto coperto" and "Accattoni, Vitelloni and Zombie". Il Neorealismo rivisitato a fumetti".
Another of her important publications is the one she produced with the young Draft Comic collective with whom she collaborated to publish the book "Arcana". All the works on show at the exhibition are collected in a single book entitled "The Art of October" published by the author.
